TuitionCreep is built to be privacy-minimal. You can search a school and see your four-year cost projection without an account and without entering any personal information. This policy explains what we do and don't collect.

Information we do not collect

The core projection runs in your browser. The school you pick, the aid figures you enter, and your results are used to compute your estimate and are not tied to your identity or required to be stored by us.

Information we collect

We do not ask you to create an account or provide your name, email, or other contact details to use the Service. The only information collected is usage and device data: like most websites, we and our providers automatically collect limited technical data (such as pages viewed, approximate region, browser type, and referring links) to operate, secure, and improve the Service.

Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use privacy-conscious analytics to understand aggregate usage. If we run advertising (for example, search or display ads), our advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to measure and attribute ad performance. These partners may set their own cookies subject to their privacy policies. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and where required we will present a consent choice. We honor “Global Privacy Control” signals where applicable.

How we use information

To provide and improve the Service, measure and attribute marketing, maintain security, and comply with law. We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share limited data only with service providers who help us run the Service (such as hosting, email delivery, analytics, and advertising measurement), and when required by law. Our tuition figures come from the public federal IPEDS collection (via the Urban Institute Education Data API); using the Service sends no personal data to that source.

Children's privacy

TuitionCreep is intended for prospective college students and their families. Because some users may be under 18, we designed the Service to require no account and no personal information. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Your choices and rights

• Depending on where you live (for example, under the CCPA/CPRA or GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information, or to opt out of certain processing. To make a request, contact us below.

Data retention and security

We keep the limited usage data described above only as long as needed for the purposes it was collected, and we use reasonable safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes take effect when posted with a new “Last updated” date.
